English, late 18th/early 19th century. Chinoiserie decorated red lacquered stand with undulating wood gallery surrounding shaped rectangular top with raised and gilt highlighted figural scene portraying a seated fisherman under tree, open storage below with black lacquered interior, pierced oblong handles at sides, one small pull out drawer on side of case with rounded knob, additional gilt highlighting and charming scenes on sides depicting perched monkeys in flowering tree branches. Overall approximate height 27.75", width 17.75", depth 11.5".
