"Simon Willard" Patent Timepiece or "Banjo" Clock, no. 7416, crossbanded inlaid mahogany case with gilt finial above the unsigned roman numeral convex dial, brass side arms, geometrical reverse-painted tablets, lower tablet reading "S. Willard's Patent," eight-day time and strike movement marked as above, regulated by a wooden rod pendulum and powered by a lead weight, ht. 39 in. Estimate $700-900 plinth on gilt finial has damage, some paint lifting on tablets. Items may have wear and tear, imperfections, or the effects of aging.
