Yellow-glazed Staffordshire Brazil Independence Jug, England, c. 1825, pear-shape with reddish-brown enamel trim lines and black transfers to either side relating to Brazil's independence from Portugal, ht. 6 1/2 in. Estimate $400-600 Light and scattered enamel abrasions along top rim; glaze wear to spout and one side of handle. No evidence of any cracks, chips or restorations.
