Sunderland Pink Lustre Puzzle Jug, England, early 19th century, polychrome enamel decorated with the English ship Leander titled to one side, a compass to the reverse and monogram "TMT" below the spout, ht. 8 3/8 in. Note: The Leander was one of three ships to leave New York harbor January 10, 1806, under Francisco de Miranda. They were headed to South America to overthrow the Spanish Colonial government. Estimate $400-600 One side of spout rim with professional restoration. Items may have wear and tear, imperfections, or the effects of aging.
