Three Wedgwood Black Basalt Items, England, 20th century, an award figure modeled as a standing female holding a mask of Bacchus, mounted atop a raised circular plinth, impressed mark, ht. 9 1/2; and a pair of Coronation busts from 1953 depicting Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip, ht. 9 1/2 in.; each with impressed marks. Note: The presentation of the 1967 British Film Academy Awards on March 28, 1968, marked the occasion the Academy changed to a new format of Award, to this black basalt statuette created by Eric Owen, then became known as the "Stella" and was presented until 1975. Estimate $150-250 Each in very good condition throughout with no evidence of any cracks, chips or restorations. Items may have wear and tear, imperfections, or the effects of aging.
