Five English Majolica Items, second half 19th century, each polychrome enameled, a marked Royal Worcester bird/vase, ht. 6 1/2; a marked Minton double shell dish with central cherubs embracing, ht. 6; a marked Wedgwood compote with butterfly and hummingbird, dia. 9 1/4; and two marked J. Holdcroft, a covered jar on stand with birds and blossoms in relief, dish dia. 7 1/2; and a rectangular cobalt ground covered box with cranes in relief, set on four bird feet, lg. 10 3/8 in. Estimate $600-800 R. Worcester: Chip to one scallop at top rim restored; two shallow chips under footrim. Minton: In very good condition throughout. Wedgwood: Restored rim chips to dish. Holdcroft jar: Rim chips restored to bowl. Holdcroft box: Twig handle to cover broken off and simply reglued; box with faint hairlines and restorations to feet.
