USS Hartford Cane, c. 1864, oak cane with silver-plated handle, engraved on the top "Hartford" and around the base of the handle "In Action at Mobile Bay/Aug 5-1864", overall lg. 32 3/4 in. Provenance: The collection of Nicholas A. Penachio. Estimate $200-400 Some plating worn off the handle but in overall good condition.
