Rhodes Floor Standing Mahogany Regulator, Kendal, England, dome-top case with hinged access door in the hood, figured mahogany, chamfered edge, full-length door with a bold three-quarter bead around the glass, finely carved foliate decoration below the 12-in. silvered astronomical dial signed "T. & E. Rhodes/Kendal," with outer minute markings, upper seconds, and lower hour dials, and blued-steel hands, lower case with figured mahogany recessed panel, and chamfered, lamb's tongue columns, stepped base with simple raised flat feet, freestanding silvered beat scale, eight-day movement with 5 mm thick trapezoidal plates, maintaining power, and deadbeat escapement, outboard mounted cable roller, brass-cased weight, and a faceted single-jar mercury temperature compensating pendulum, ht. 75 in.
