James & Waller Marshall Mahogany Shelf Clock, Edinburgh, c. 1820, well figured crotch-mahogany drumhead case with carved volutes flanking the 8-in. roman numeral dial brass dial reading "J&W Marshall," beveled-edge rectangular lower panel resting on a simple stepped molded base, eight-day, time-only, fusee movement with ovolo cut-corner plates, regulated by a brass pendulum, ht. 16 1/2 in. Estimate $400-600 split on object left side of case, ticks but does not stay running, remnants of silvering on the dial edge, rear door is key-hole shaped and center panel has been cut-out and filled with a resin type substance.
