Attributed to Jasper van der Laanen (Dutch, 1575/95-1624/1644) Wooded Landscape with Figures on a Path Unsigned, attributed in an inscription on the back of the frame. Oil on copper, 5 1/8 x 6 3/8 in. (13.0 x 16.3 cm), framed. Condition: Crack to support at l.l. corner, retouch, paint loss, craquelure, surface grime. Estimate $600-800 Paint loss in upper center in treetop measures 3/16 x 1/4 inch, and under a loupe there appears to be continued lifting along the bottom edge of the loss. Retouch is minimal with some minor flourescence to the u.l. corner. Framed dimensions are 11 x 12 1/2 in.
