Attributed to Gilbert Stuart (Massachusetts, Rhode Island, England, 1755-1828) Portrait of Mrs. Clement Unsigned. Oil on panel, 30 1/4 x 24 1/2 in., in a molded gilt-gesso frame. Condition: Minor retouch associated with shrinkage cracks in the panel. Exhibition: Old labels adheared to the back of the frame indicate exhibition at the Museum of Fine Arts and the Fogg Art Museum and identify the sitter.
