Continental, circa 1930s. Louis XV style paint decorated bergere or closed armchair with serpentine crestrail carved with foliage over a padded back, sides and seat with removable cushion above a similarly carved serpentine apron on cabriole legs carved at the knee with foliage and terminating on foliate scrolled toes, the whole covered in toile fabric with chinoiserie style. Height 37", width 31.5" (arm to arm), seat depth 19", seat height 21"
