Good antique condition. Wear, scratches and abrasions commensurate with age and use. Carrying case: Worn leather strap and some oxidation to brass buckle. Some chips/nicks to case and a couple deep fissures, longest split 2.5". Some tears and fading to fabric lining. Chronometer: Not in working condtion. Worn patina and some areas of oxidation to brass. Minor lifting to veneer. Complete with key. Please note this work may require the buyer to obtain a CITES permit to export out of the United States. Carrying case measures: 11.5 w x 9.5 d x 9.25 h inches. Etched manufacturer's mark to silvered dial ‘T.S. & J.D. Negus New York No. 2028’ and plaque to box ‘T.S. & J.D. Negus 2028 New York’.
