Collins, Stanley. Collection of Scrapbooks and Sheet Music Kept by Collins. A fascinating trove including several music scores transcribed or composed by Collins in his own hand, and 17 bound files of magic-related extracts from late eighteenth to early twentieth century periodicals and books, several neatly titled calligraphically with the contents, on subjects or by authors including Hoffmann, Houdini, automata, and sleight-of-hand. One volume containing clippings of Collins’ own writings, bearing lengthy handwritten marginalia. Most volumes signed “Stanley Collins Collection” and bearing his bookplate.
