Rufino Tamayo (New York/Mexico, 1899 - 1991) unframed mixed media With tempura painting, signed "R. Tamayo" to lower right. Measures 12-1/2" in height with width of 20". This piece comes without paperwork of authentication, but signature and style are consistent with those of the artist's known works. In overall good condition, all measurements are approximate. Provenance: from the estate of a prominent Texas collector, known to not only to have collected quite an assortment of notable art, but to have befriended a vast majority of the artists of whose work was acquired.
