Laura Lee (American, 1867-1954) Self Portrait, Full Length, Holding Fruit. Signed or inscribed and dated "Laura Lee 1919" and identified in an inscription from Nora Burke on the reverse. Oil on canvas backed by paperboard, 21 1/2 x 9 3/8 in., in an Eastlake-style frame. Condition: Rippling to canvas, surface grime, frame with damage to l.r. corner. N.B. The inscription from Nora Burke on the reverse reads, "This is the Laura in my book called 'Chrysanthemums White.' Miss Lee gave me this picture of herself on July 25, 1949. Nora T. Burke."
