Pastel laid onto card, the woman wears a tortoiseshell comb, a suite of jewelry, and has her thumb between the pages of a small book, with vibrant blue background, 24 x 19 in., in a black-painted molded frame with gilt liner. Condition: Very minor moisture staining, spots of foxing most noticeable in background.
