Style of Mathieu Planchon (French, active 1865-1920), circa 1880. Matched pair of Louis XV style gilt bronze cartel clock case and barometer case, each ribbon-hung case with ebonized frame bordered with gilt beading, each case centered by torch and quiver crest at top and floral swag with dangling tassel at bottom, barometer and clock with glazed and hinged doors over white enameled faces with Arabic numbering, clock movement marked "1880 45", barometer apparently unmarked. Each overall approximately 22" x 10.5" x 4.25".
