Attributed to Arne Jacobsen (Danish, 1902-1971) for Fritz Hansen (Danish, 1872-), designed 1958, last half 20th century. An "Egg" lounge chair, upholstered in purple fabric, on a polished aluminum base. Apparently unmarked. Approximate height 41.75", width 34.75", seat depth 19.5", seat to floor 17". Note: Jacobsen was both an architect and designer, and designed the Royal Hotel in Copenhagen, and subsequently the the "Egg" for the lobby and reception areas.
