Allan Houser (American, 1914-1994). "Mother and Child" - 1987, bronze, limited edition 85/100, signed and numbered to back of bronze. Diminutive bronze sculpture depicting a stylized bust length view of a Native American Indian mother cradling her child with her long hair sweeping down either side of group, raised on a n oval wood stand. Approximate overall height 3.25", width 2", depth 2.5". Note: alternate statement of artist's name is Allan Capron Haozous Houser.
