Continental School, likely Spanish, 18th century. Stained oak wood blanket chest or coffer with hinged lid opening to reveal a large storage compartment fitted to the left with a 21.25" lidded storage box, probably a candle box. The exterior with triple paneled front carved with raised rosettes within geometric devices. The sides with double panels on stile feet. Height 29.5", width 53", depth 25.25". _x000D_
