Continental School. "Grazing Under Tall Oaks"-1879, oil on canvas, signed and dated indistinctly at lower left (possibly "H. Earl 1879". Tonalist pastoral landscape painting with loose, impressionistic handling, depicting a brown and white cow (possibly Pinzgauer) grazing in a clearing of a wooded forest, reminiscent of the work of Hugo Engl (Austrian, 1852-?). Framed approximately 39" x 53". Unframed approximately 25.625" x 39.5".
