Attributed to Jean Miotte (French, b. 1926-2016), "Sans Titre (Primary Abstractions)"-1963, oil and acrylic on canvas, signed to lower right "Miotte", signed and dated to verso "Miotte 63." Non-figurative abstraction painting in the vein of Willem de Kooning (Dutch/American, 1904-1997) and Joan Mitchell (American, 1925-1992), with primary color palette and impassioned gestural rendering. Framed approximately 45.625" x 38". 37.25" x 29.75". Note: Jean Miotte's work is associated with the l'abstraction lyrique style of abstract art. His work is largely preserved by the Miotte Foundation in New York City, New York.
