Continental, 20th century. An Empire style round dining table, having a mahogany veneered parquetry top with a central star and geometric edge above conforming apron with a beaded border, on a tripartite pedestal composed of three serpentine form grotesque dolphins, each with a dark green scaled body and red and gold polychromed head and tail, each resting on a conforming base mounted with gold polychromed foliated and lion's paw feet. Apparently unmarked. Approximate height 30", diameter 60".
