Attributed to Timothy Tranzillo (American (New York), contemporary). "Portrait of Clarence Williams III", oil on canvas mounted to wood, signed lower right "Tranzillo". Painting depicting the African American actor Clarence Williams III at center in full length, the subject seated and wearing a brown pinstriped three piece suit with either hand resting gently upon the chair's armrest, with his round face with a smiling expression looking out toward the viewer, the actor being best known for his roles as Linc Hayes on The Mod Squad, Prince's father in Purple Rain, and as Roger Hardy in the television show Twin Peaks. Unframed approximately 48" x 36". Note: Timothy Tranzillo is a member of United Scenic Artists Local 829, a professional association and labor union based in New York City for designers and artists for the film, tv, and theatre industries. Provenance: From a private collection in Atlanta, Georgia.
