Miniature Carved Mahogany and Cherry Chest, probably Massachusetts, c. 1825, the top intricately carved with a basket of flowers and leaves with a fanciful border, mahogany veneered two short drawers over a long drawer, the latter with ivory heart inlay, carved scrolled leaf motif on skirt, raised on paw feet, the names "H.M. Elliot and J.M. Ba--s" inscribed on the backs and bottom of the drawers, (age crack), ht. 7, lg. 9 3/8, dp. 7 1/4 in.
