16kt Gold Etruscan Revival Earpendants, designed as domed lozenges with applied beads within banded circular frames, applied ropetwist decoration and snake motifs, 8. 4 dwt, Prince of Wales feathers hallmark for Robert Phillips, London, (one earpendant with minor loss).Note: Robert Phillips (d.1881) was among the most renowned of the mid-century Victorian specialists in archaeological jewelery. Like his contemporary Castellani, he favored Greek and Etruscan forms. Phillips was instrumental in assisting Carlo Giuliano, the Neapolitan master, in establishing himself in London.
