Grain Painted and Decorated Settee, probably Midwest, mid-19th century, the serpentine crest with yellow striping over the spindles and the simulated mahogany graining on the plank seat which is flanked by over-upholstered arms, with hand decorated arm supports above the ring-turned tapering similarly decorated front legs joined by square front stretchers, the rear legs and stretchers are not decorated, old surface, (minor surface imperfections), ht. 34, seat ht. 17, wd. 84 1/4, dp. 22 in.
