William Bradford (American, 1823-1892) Coastal Rocks, A Sketch Signed "W. Bradford" l.l. Oil on board, 13 3/4 x 19 3/4 in. (34.9 x 50 cm), in the original frame. Condition: Retouch, surface grime. Provenance: A private New England collection. N.B. During the mid 1850s and into the early 1860s, Bradford painted many rock studies along the New Bedford coastline, Newport, Cohasset, Nahant, and on Grand Manan Island. We wish to thank Richard C.
