The Little Automaton Paper Toy in Original Box, probably Germany, c. 1840, 6-inch doll carrying a basket with two children inside, mounted on a 2-inch base, when toy is pulled by string the wooden wheels should move legs alternately to simulate walking and have children pop up in basket (mechanism sticky), in original box with lithographed figure of the toy on the cover (some wear), with descriptive literature from Bromer Booksellers in Boston, box 5 1/2 x 2 1/4 x 9 1/2 in.
