Large Jumeau French Bisque Portrait Lady Doll, c. 1870s, the model associated with Pierre Francois Jumeau production for the 1876 exhibition with deeply sculpted features, large blue paperweight eyes, feathered eyebrows, seductively modeled mouth with shaded and outlined detailing, smooth even coloring, large applied ears, (small cinders forehead and above left brow, mold flaw on ear lobes, white line under chin), shapely double chin, socket head on fully articulated wooden body, aubergine silk satin dress and ribbon-trimmed peaked hat, brown leather shoes marked Jumeau, ht. 27 in.
