Wax over Papier-mache Welsh Lady Doll, mid-19th century, black pupil-less glass eyes (wax cloudy around eyes), feathered eyebrows, suggestion of black hair at temples, white molded and decorated bonnet showing under large black paper hat made onto head which has recessed area to receive it, on cloth body with milliner's model proportions, wooden limbs, black stockings and shoes, red wool cape, black and white checked apron, reflective of garments of peddlers, overall ht. 14 in.
