Urville in 1840, America marked showing Territories, Alaska labelled Russian America , Australia with New Holland and New South Wales labelled, and the African interior largely unlabeled, with engraved brass hour ring and meridian circle, mahogany stand with paper horizon ring showing degrees of Amplitude and Azimuth, the compass directions, Zodiacal calendar and calendar month, and four baluster-turned legs joined by stretcher, ht. 17 in., (surface darkened, some losses, abrasions and dents).
