Manner of Pieter Jansz Pourbus (Flemish, 1510-1584) Portrait of a Child Unsigned, identified on a presentation plaque. Oil on panel, 10 3/4 x 7 5/8 in. (27.2 x 19.3 cm), framed. Condition: Retouch, craquelure, skinning. Provenance: Purchased by John B. Warnock, Westport, Connecticut, from E. & A. Silberman Galleries, Inc., New York, in 1936, then through to the family of the present owner. N.B. The attribution was proposed circa 1968, by Gustav Gluck, Director of the Kunsthistorisches Museum, Vienna.
