Civil War Ambrotype of James C. Magoun, ink-stamped on verso 2d. Reg't. Mass. H.A. , with photographer's credit A.K. Joslyn ; and a sixth-plate tinted ambrotype of a young soldier, in gilt mount with embossed star decoration, in gutta-percha case. Note: James C. Magoun, a farmer from Pembroke, Massachusetts, enlisted on 31. August, at the age of nineteen. He was transferred on 16. December 1864 to Co. F. 17th MA. Infantry.
