Interchangeable Cylinder Musical Box by Mermod Frères, No. 59599, with four nickel-plated cylinders (455, 460, 467 and 468) playing six airs each, crank-wind mechanism with Jacot's safety check, combined change / repeat and tune-selector, zither attachment and patd. dates to May 1888, in grained case with rosewood lid, boxwood stringing and inlaid musical motifs, wd. 22 1/2 in., cylinders 7 1/4 in., three in their original pine carrying case.
