Pair of Dorothy Heizer Portrait Dolls of George and Martha Washington, modeled on the group portrait by Savage, with sculpted silk faces, painted features, silk-floss wigs, George in blue tailcoat and yellow lapels, metal-thread epaulets, leather boots, sword and tricorn hat, Martha holding a fan, dressed in pale violet silk-taffeta skirt with train, net cap and black lace shawl, ht. 11 and 10 1/2 in. respectively, (George missing two buttons, Martha's skirt damaged). Provenance: Formerly with the family of the artist.
