Michele Cortazzi (Italian, b. 1800) After Cornelis De Bailleur (Flemish, 1607-1671) A Royal Picture Gallery Unsigned, inscribed "Michele Cortazzi fece in Roma" on the reverse. Oil on canvas, 34 x 44 1/2 in. (86.2 x 113.0 cm), in an ornately carved frame. Condition: Lined, scattered retouch, craquelure. The lining is an old glue lining. There is a 3 inch area of abrasions and losses near the lower left corner. There is additional retouch scattered throughout the work. The craquelure is stable.
