Art Deco 18kt Gold and Nephrite Jade Open Face Pocket Watch, Cartier, The silvertone metal dial with Arabic numeral indicators, inscribed gold bezel, within a nephrite jade case, reverse with monogram R. A.C., 51 mm, no. 2344, French guarantee stamp, signed on the dial, in original fitted box. Note: This watch was ordered by John Nicholas Brown for Ralph Adams Cram of the Boston firm Cram, Goodhue & Ferguson, the architect of the St. George Chapel in Newport Rhode Island. The text reads "To R.A.C. from his devoted friend J.N.B. in celebration of the St. George 1928."
