Currier & Ives, publishers (American, 1857-1907) Frozen Up. , 1872, (Conningham, 2155). Identified in inscriptions in the matrix. Small folio lithograph with hand-coloring on paper, sheet size 10 3/8 x 13 3/4 in., in a contemporary molded tiger maple frame with gilt liner. Condition: Margins of 5/8 in. or more, very light toning. Note: This lithograph ranks no. 18 in the "New Best 50," small folio. The paper backing on the reverse retains a paper label from "The Old Print Shop."
