Classical Paint-decorated Etagere, probably Baltimore, Maryland, c. 1820, the five rectangular graduated shelves joined by block and ring-turned supports, continuing to base with drawer on vase and ring-turned legs, original black-painted surface with gilt-painted rosettes and foliate designs highlighted by white-painted stringing, replaced pull, (minor imperfections), ht. 55 1/2, wd. 18 1/2, dp. 17 3/4 in. some scratching, paint wear, two shelves separated from shrinkage.
