Classical Carved Mahogany Tall Clock, John Nicholl, Belvidere, New Jersey, c. 1815, the hood with molded scroll top, pressed brass rosettes, three brass finials, the arched and glazed hood door flanked by free-standing carved columns with brass Corinthian capitals, carved acanthus leaf carved half columns flank the waist door with upper carved fan, the lower section with banding and central veneered panel is flanked by carved half columns all on paw feet housing an eight-day, brass weight driven time and strike movement with 13 in. painted iron dial with fan decorated corners, center calendar, moon's age in the arch and signed, John Nicholl, Belvidere , (imperfections), ht. 94 in.
