American School, third quarter 20th century. "Pop Art Woman" - 1971, acrylic on canvas, signed and dated lower right "W.G.Zavosky 71". Painted in black on a solid bright yellow field, painting depicts a woman at shoulder length to right side of canvas with upturned chin directed to her right with long hair falling behind her face, the shape of her features created through the painting of shadows made by their contours. Framed approximately 41" x 31", unframed approximately 40" x 30".
