Sold for:
$2,844

George II Walnut Tall Case Clock, third quarter 18th century, dial signed David Le Sturgeon, London, column mounted case, rectangular door, long bracket feet, ht. 91 in. Veneer losses to upper right of door and upper case; lacking sarcophagus top; blind fret work an old replacement; lower section of case (approximately one foot) restored; seating board probably an early replacement, holes in uprights, with no holes in seating board; good color. Case and movement do not appear to be a marriage, but difficult to tell definitively due to old replaced seating board.
