George III Satinwood and Harewood Inlaid Mahogany Roll-top Desk, c. 1780, with tambour rolltop enclosing an interior fitted with a gilt tooled leather writing surface, small drawers and pigeonholes; frieze fitted with two working drawers, on square, tapered legs, on casters; inlaid allover with scrolling foliage and pendant bellflowers, ht. 42, wd. 37, dp. 30 in. Very good to excellent condition; inlay is an Edwardian period addition; pulls changed to drawer fronts; couple of minor repairs to tambour; minor age typical wear; good color; very good proportion.
