Louis XV-style Giltwood Mirror-framed-Mirror, rectangular mirror plate with arched top, the frame topped by acanthus crest flanked by flowerheads, with rocaille and acanthus corners, lg. approx. 39 in. Overall good condition; back of frame shows period style cross braces at corners; carving very good; some minor losses; frame smudged with lampblack in spots to even out color; good old gilding; central mirror plate an old replacement with minor losses; four outside pieces certainly period but with almost total loss to silvering.
