Coin Silver Temple Presentation Goblet, mid 19th century, unmarked, the bell-shaped bowl chased and embossed with ropetwist roundel conjoined by leafy bands and floral swags, on trumpet foot topped by knop with heart tooling, and heart tooled rim, ht. 8 in. Note: Presented to Sol Levi, Esq., President of K K Bene Yeshurun, 16th day of Teshri 5625. The constitution of Bene Yeshurun was conceived c. 1824 in Cincinnati, Ohio, one of America's oldest Jewish communities. Good. Presentation inscription reads in full: To Sol Levi Esqr., Prest. of K K Bene Yeshurun Esq. from his fellow members, Cincinnati 16th day of Teshri 5625, a token of love and esteem
