Three Rowing Trophies, late 19th century, comprising two sterling by Whiting Manufacturing Co. , one a beaker, acid-etched "Harvard 1883" and with a single rower, scalloped rim, ht. 4 7/8, the other a footed cup, with all over hammered surface, acid-etched with an eight-man boat, engraved for Harvard vs. Yale and dated 1882, ht. 5 3/4, together with a Reed & Barton silverplate goblet, applied with a laurel wreath and an oar, dated 1880, ht. 8 in., approx. 10 troy oz. weighable silver. beaker with denting to base and minor surface wear. engraved with name F.L. Sawyer footed cup with denting to base of cup. engraved "Harvard vs. Yale, New London 1882, F.L. Sawyer, No. 2, Time 20 m, 47 1/2 s." minor surface wear. silverplate goblet with significant wear to plating, and surface abrasion. engraved: 83, Class Races, May 15, 1880, 1-7/8 miles in Shell.
