Two Painted Pine Firkins, America, 19th century, stave and wooden hoop construction, bentwood handles, one painted light green, the other dark blue, (minor wear), ht. 8 5/8, 9 3/4 in. green firkin- small losses and crack around lid rim, old surface but has some light gray paint under green, minor paint wear associated with use; blue firkin- a couple small losses o cover rim edge, a couple losses on upper stave rim, original blue paint, with wear.
