Two Painted and Gilt Stenciled Wooden Window Cornices, America, early 19th century, scrolled top with rectangular and diamond shaped gilt moldings, central decoration of a stenciled basket of fruit, with flower, fruit and grain motifs, in gilt, red, and black on a green ground, (losses and repairs to scrollwork, spotting, and paint loss), ht. 8, lg. 40 1/2 in. Two unpainted repaired scrolls, losses to two scrolls on one end of one valance, one scroll glued back together.
